Spring Program

Gage had his spring program at his preschool this week, and it was so cute!  G has this new nervous laugh that he does, and yep, that's what he did the whole time. Well...in between pointing to me and saying "mama":)

Notice how nobody else thinks this is all quite as funny as G!  He laughed the WHOLE time!

Happy Boy

They were in a "boat" and each had a turn in the song to say something they see in the water.  Most said fish, boat, alligator, and what did G see??..you guessed it...MAMA!!LOL

pointing to mama:)

Ok so Miss sassy pants obviously didn't like him touching her face.  She is cracking me up these days!  Look at that face!:)

Ok, that's better.  Oh, and G is winking.  He's been working hard on it and finally got it down pat.

Our little country boys and their friends have been "frogging" after school.   You know you have a house full of boys when you find yourself saying "BOYS!...get your frogs out of my kitchen!"

How come?

We've had LOTS of questions in the Coco house lately.  Gage is on a "How come?" kick and will ask that until I just have no answers left!  I've even tried to win in this game by going as long as I can and I just can't do it...he wins!  I'm still trying to figure out where he gets "how come"!  I don't think I say that but maybe I do! :)

Reed on the other hand has been really concerned with Molly's birth mom and where she is.  So very hard to try and explain to a 7 year old.  He came to me the other day and out of the blue asked if I would ever leave him.   Broke my heart.  It's obviously something he's been thinking about lately.

I've not been the best at taking pics lately, and the ones I have taken are with my iphone..which are not great!  One of these days I'll be back on my A -game ...right??

playdate at the mall with Raley

Cheering on Ben at his soccer game and enjoying her ring pop!  She's rubbing her tummy saying.."mmmm"

She looks so much older to me in this pic
The fam helping me pick wildflowers to put in some antique milk bottles I got at a garage sale yesterday!

Molly's surgery has been pushed back because her craniofacial surgeon wants to repair her lip at the same time as she gets her tubes.  We're also battling insurance, so I'm thinking she may have them done in May or June.  I'm still shocked she needs tubes because  her language has taken off!  She's saying new words everyday and repeats a lot of what I tell her.  She hasn't had an ear infection since she's been here(not sure if she did before), which is usually a big indicator of fluid not draining.  I don't know, maybe it's a good thing it was pushed back so I can get a second opinion.   Would love to push back the lip revision to when we do her nose revision.  We shall see I guess.

Easter!

I'm a few days late posting this, but that's seems to be my life story lately.   I feel extremely blessed to have our sweet girl here celebrating Easter with us this year.  To think that we had not even seen her sweet face this time last year blows my mind!  Hasn't she been with us forever??:)

After church, we ate lunch and then went to our neighbor's house for an indoor egg hunt and dessert.  We moved it indoors because it was raining, but the kids had just as much fun and loaded up on candy,,,,and Molly on jewelry!  She may be new to this, but she had her strategy down pat,....just wait for the other kids to leave their full baskets, and then dig through their stuff!  A lot less work!:)

Big brother Ben helping put her jewelry on..

I hope everyone had a great Easter!!

In other news, we took Molly to the ENT and dentist yesterday, and she will be getting tubes put in on Monday.  She is NOT a fan of Dr's at all and starts screaming as soon as they come near her.  Can't blame her after all she's been through with them!  Please pray that she doesn't freak out too much Monday am, and that everything goes smoothly. I'm so relieved and thankful that it's just tubes she's getting done and not her palate!

Sea World

The boys were out of school on Thursday and Friday, so we made our first vaca as a family of 6 to visit Shamu!  Molly did amazingly well on the 5 hour car ride!  She never ceases to amaze me with how go with the flow and easy to entertain she is.  A long nap and a couple of movies, and we were there in no time.
The one thing that  did set her off was when we walked through the door of our hotel room for the first time.  She lost it!  And not just her usual cry, but a scared scream of a cry.  The same cry that she had from day 1 when we would go to the hotel in China.  It obviously triggers a bad memory or reminds her of something before we got her, and this kills me.  It's like a stab in the heart to me, because it reminds me that I don't know every single thing about her from the beginning, even when it feels like I do.  Maybe it reminds her of her orphanage, or something else, I'm not sure, I just would give anything to know what was running through her mind at that time.  I held her and the boys worked really hard to make her laugh, and she was soon running around being silly with them.  It only happened the first time, so maybe we've replaced the bad memories with good family ones!

She had fun with the whipped cream for the hot chocolate!  Walked in and found her like this.

G  loved the shamu express!  He really wanted to join the older boys on the Steel Eel!!

this girl is a climber!  Wanted to see how far she would make it on her own, and she almost made it to the top before she started getting me nervous and I had to get her down.  She wasn't happy with me!
G showing her how the water park is done.  Once she figured it out, she was soaking wet and loving every second!

Here comes Shamu!!!  She LOVED the shows!  Stood like this most of the time with her arms either around Jon or me patting our backs....Sweetness!!

my daredevil boys!  It wasn't crowded so they rode the biggest rides there over and over.  They loved every second!

My fav part of sea world is feeding the dolphins.  They come so close and wait for you to give them a snack.  They even let you pet them!  Molly waved to them the whole time and Gage told one of them, " I like your eye"..lol

SMORES!!!

Molly Approved! :)

We stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country and they had so many activities for the kids!   Highly recommend it if you're going to San Antonio with kids. We had so much fun and hope to go back soon!

1st Easter Egg Hunt

Molly experienced her first Easter Egg hunt with all of our neighbors on Sunday.  It was so cute to watch her try and figure out what the baskets were for and why everybody was putting these colored eggs in them, but let me tell you, it didn't take her long to catch on!

Parade to the hunt

Yes, I realize his pants are on backwards, but that's the way we roll these days.  The sad thing is that I didn't realize they were backwards until we were leaving the hunt!...sorry Gage!
After picking up a couple, she realized there was candy inside!  Oh yeah, she was loving this crazy egg game!  Let's find more!

Showing big brother her finds!!

Finally  found the big boys!  Still trying to figure out how to split myself 4 ways to get pics of everybody!:)
