Reed's baptism

Reed accepted Jesus into his heart a couple of months ago and was baptized Sunday! Yay Reed!!  So proud of my sweet boy for making the biggest and best decision he'll ever make.  Nana, Pa, and Luke came in to watch and celebrate with us.

celebrating after the baptizm at one of our favorite restaurants, the pantry!

Luke taught us about the "duck face".  Guess it's something those young 'ens these days are doing:)

Gage's duck face...haha

Jon, Ben, Luke and I ran in the 3rd annual Melissa Ridge 5K on Saturday.  Ben's school puts it on and this is the first  year we've done it.  It was a lot of fun and I'm hoping this will be a yearly tradition with the whole family next time.

Puddle Jumping

So it rained,,...and rained, thundered, hailed and rained some more...yep!  It's Spring time in Texas!   The kids dug out their rainboots (well, except Molly, who would sleep in hers if I let her!) and had a ball in the puddles!  They started off small.....

...And ended up big!!  The boys got a little too adventurous, so Molly decided to sit back and watch the crazy boys...smart girl!

storms rollin in...

Spring storm season is here.  We were outside right before the huge storms blew in and Molly was amazed at the dark skies, thunder, and wind blowing around.  She just stood in the middle of our yard looking up at the sky in awe.  She has seen the rain, but never seen the eerie darkness that comes right before a huge thunderstorm.  Of course I had to run in and grab my camera.  She was in awe.  I love seeing all of her firsts through her eyes.

Happy 4th "Bufday" Gagey!!

                                                            ~ 4 YEARS OLD~

Yay!!  The day finally came to celebrate your big day!!  You've been counting down the days until you turn 4 for over a month now....asking every morning if it's your bufday, and then how many more sleeps until it is.  I think your day was all you thought it would be. You had friends, family, a bounce house, and your Vinko the Bear cake! You couldn't wipe that smile off of your face because it was all about YOU!! :)

You've taken on your new role as big brother very seriously.  You protect, love and make Molly laugh on a daily basis.  She's a lucky little girl to have such an amazing and funny big brother!

You keep us all laughing with your funny "Gageisms"!  I finally started writing them down, because I never want to forget the funny things you say.

~ When we went fishing the other day, he had a worm as a bait, and when he pulled it in he said with such excitement..."MOM, DAD,  I caught somefing, I finally caught somefing!!"....and I ran over to find just his worm.  I said, no it's just your worm, and you said..I know!  I caught a worm!!  I couldn't burst his bubble so as far as he knows, he caught a bunch of worms that day:)

~At the mall he kept saying he wanted to ride the "horisel"(carousel).   Actually Horisel makes more sense, since they are horses!

~I was watching him play baseball with Jon and he said " mom, will you cheer me up?"(cheer me on)

~We were at church and the preacher was asking rhetorical question, "Who are you going to listen to?"...answer should have been Jesus...but Gage blurts out as he's coloring(I didn't even think he was listening)....NOBODY!!!  And the preacher asks again...and same answer...NOBODY!!!   Guess we need to work on that one! ;)

~When I was backing out of the driveway the other day, I accidentally backed over a chair and Gage said, "what happened?" and I said, "I ran over the chair" and he said "You didn't like it??"   Guess that's what you do in the mind of a 3 year old if you don't like something..lol

Gagey, you are one of a kind and we all love you to the moon and back!!  Happy Birthday, BIG 4 YEAR OLD!!!

The crazy zoo!

First day of Spring Break was spent at the zoo, and it was a total ZOO!!  I think everybody in Texas had the same idea!  It was a beautiful day, but there were way too many people there to really enjoy it.  I don't even think we made it halfway through after being there for 2 hours!  The line for the train was at least an hour long, so after trying to push our bus of a double stroller through the crowd for a few hours, we had had enough.  Jon bribed the kids with souvenirs instead of waiting in line for the train, and they went for it. We got our souvenirs and headed back to the big D. Guess we need to think of activities outside of Texas for Texas spring break next time.  As crazy crowded as it was, it didn't bother the kids.  They had a great time and Molly was "oohing" and "awwing" over all of the animals...even the snakes! :)

After we got home, we went fishing and I snapped this picture.   I tell you , these boys adore their sister,.. and I think the feeling is mutual.:)

I walked into my bathroom looking for Molly, and found my girly girl doing this.  Oh boy, starting young...I'm in trouble!!
