These are the days...

I don't know if it's this spring like weather we've been having, or if I'm in a sappy mood, or if I'm just realizing how these littles are growing up WAY too fast, but I want to freeze time!!  I know I complain about the craziness sometimes,... how the kids are fighting, and how laundry is building, and  how closets need to be organized, and the house cleaned, kids projects done, dinner cooked, kids are fighting...oh yeah, said that:).....but I LOVE my CRAZY life!!!  People with grown kids have told me ever since Ben was a baby to enjoy every second, and I never totally got it.  Just assumed they'd be little forever! Now, I find myself thinking about a quiet, organized, clean house, and an empty yard with no kids running around, and I get a little teary!  One day I will totally miss ALL of this craziness!    I'm going to try to slow down and live in the moment, because I know in the blink of an eye, they'll be big and I'll be telling other young moms to savor every second.

Sunday Snapshots

Our Sunday photog sessions are becoming a weekly thing, but I love getting pics of them together when they're all dressed up.  It was difficult getting the kids to all smile at the same time when I only had 3 kiddos, now it's pretty much impossible!  Oh well, we take what we can get:)

Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!

Molly celebrated her first mardi gras with gumbo and king cake!   And she loved both!  Keep it comin!

Nana, Pa and Luke have been visitng for their Mardi Gras holiday!  So sad to see them leave tomorrow. I love this group!

Molly has really bonded with all of them and even prefers them over us sometimes!  Love seeing her get so much love from her extended family!

Nana caught these pics of Gage reading Brown Bear to Molly.  He read it at least 10 times and she loved every second of it!

and reading by herself..

It was in the upper 60's today, sunny, and gorgeouss!!  We had 8 boys playing football after school and Molly cheering from the sidelines:)

I saved the good news for last....we went to the craniofacial surgeon for Molly's consult to set up her cleft palate repair and to our complete surprise, he said it had been repaired!:!  Say what??!!  I know it sounds crazy that we didn't know, but she would pitch a fit when we tried to look, so we never really looked too hard.  We would just sneak a peek when she would laugh or cry and we didn't see much, just assumed it was small, but it's not there anymore.....Thank you God!!  What a blessing!   We'll go back to see him in a year and we will have a nose revision down the road, but no surgery anytime soon!!!

" A Sweet Gul"

Gage is always telling Molly now that she's a "sweet gul" and tonight told me he didn't want her to go to bed because "I wub him"...ok he's still getting his hims and hers mixed up...but it was cute anyway.  It's amazing how close they've gotten in such a short amount of time, especially considering how jealous Gage was at the beginning. All the boys are great with her, but I think she and G will always have a special bond.  I know they are only going to get closer.  These 2 and their sweetness absolutely melt. my heart.

"Happy Candy Day"

Yes, that would be a direct quote from, who else, but Gagey.  I mean, that's really what Valentine's day boils down to for a 3 year old, right? :)

Molly and I went to Gage's school yesterday to celebrate "Candy Day".  To say that he was hyped up on candy was an understatement!  He may even go into sugar withdrawls today!

Our day was full of LOVE and CANDY!!!!

Hope yours was too! :)

Early Valentines

The weather has been exceptionally warm this month(except for today..brrrrr!)... so we've been spending a lot of time outdoors!  So nice to see the kids running around outside rather than with their noses buried in their itouches or wii!

Loving all the frills, pink/red, and hearts out in Feb! We've definitely gotten our moneys worth out of our Valentine outfits this month!

Gage is constantly in Molly's face trying to get her to laugh.  Sometimes she thinks it's funny, and sometimes not so much!

Love how he's leaning his head on her shoulder in this one.

Such a big girl eating yogurt all by herself!  And the dogs know just where to sit!

Reed's class Valentine's party was Friday so Gage, Molly and I went to visit.  Molly is always quickly entertained when we go anywhere...she loves it!  About to get a big smackeroo from G!

playing candy bingo with Reed...

well, actually eating the candy from the bingo is more like it..:)

Her face cracks me up...."Why do people always wanna mess with my bow???"

watching Reed play bball this morning..

Center of attention...just where she likes it!

And he scores!!

Notice the score...and we weren't the winning team!  I've never seen such a good 1st grade team!  Apparently they score  30-40 points every game, so we knew what we were going to be up against.  They won but Jon/Reed's team is still going on to the playoffs next week!..woohoo!

She had just walked in and said "hi dada!"  He's totally wrapped!
